Under the direct supervision of the Executive Housekeeper, the Guest Room Attendant will be responsible for creating an inviting environment through gracious, engaging and caring interaction with all guests, vendors, managers and fellow team members. The Laundry Attendant will stay constantly informed of occupancy, arrivals, stay overs and incoming loyal guests. The Laundry Attendant with Embassy Suites is responsible for cleaning sorting and ensuring the quality of all linen within the hotel in the continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Self-accountability for performance to include, arriving to work on time and in a clean, pressed and properly maintained uniform. Smile, Smile, Smile. Smiling is part of your uniform as is proper grooming and hygiene. At all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow team members Be positively engaged while delivering exceptional service standards and work in unity with all members of management, fellow team members, guests and vendors Be knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing, policies and knowledge of the local area and events and consistently utilize up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities to maximize food and beverage revenue Actively participate in highly effective daily huddles and departmental monthly meetings, when necessary seek out additional communication regarding hotel goals, brand standards, recognition, safety, community events, developmental training, and all compliance topics related to brand standards, as well as local, state and federal laws. Be positively engaged while delivering exceptional service standards and work in unity with all management, fellow team members, guests and vendors Process soiled linen and distribute clean linen in accordance with standard operating procedures in a safe, accident-free manner, as assigned by management Receive and sort soiled linen into appropriate containers following all safety practices Process sorted linen utilizing the washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers, and feeder/folders ensuring finished product is inspected and meets quality standards Follow all hazardous chemical procedures and ensure bloodied linen does not return to supplies Inspect linen on a regular basis for tears, holes or sub-standard conditions and remove from guest inventory Maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe condition Empty lint traps after each load to ensure safety of equipment and buildingNotify supervisor of malfunctioning equipment, supplies needed, damaged linens, to ensure laundry operation is running at maximum efficiency level Demonstrate The Hilton Values: H Hospitality - We're passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
